Cederberg

I have not told you about the Cederberg. Cederberg was a while ago though. Me Inge, Niclas, Fredrik and Zabine. Non of them that here are any longer, went to Cederberg. Cederberg is up north, took us four hours to drive there. We arrived late in the afternoon, the weather was still hot, actually the hottest day I ever experienced here in South Africa, maybe it was also because the place we stayed at was right in between mountain in a little valley. We had brought food from home so in the evening we prepared our dinner. Then we spoke to the friendly man who lived in the lodge, the man lived there with his family and another crazy guy that came some years ago to help build up the house, then decided to say in their company. Now he is working on his art gallery, selling paintings to Cape Town gallery. Anyhow our man sat down with the pipe in his mouth and explained us how to get through the hike. The place we stayed at was called the Oasis it had pretty little garden with different fruit trees, one of them with the exotic figs. They sure put a spark in all of us. The next day up the mountain we all felt them in one or another way. We sat our alarm clock at 4 am in the morning not to be in the sun when climbing up the mountain. The mountain walk took us about four hours soaked in sweet although hardly in the sun. Well up in the mountain the fun started, not that it was boring walking up the mountain it was a beautiful view, it’s a great feeling to be up the top. On top of the mountain there were grots and and clefts that we had to go through. We also had to make it through a couple of obstacles, very fun. Fredrik had to struggle to climb it up while Niclas was pushing him behind, pretty funny sight, there one picture there that you can se. Another funny obstacle were when you had to crawl on your back, the push yourself between to rocks, like having the rock in your lap. Around noon we sat down to have our lunch, while we sat there we heard the screaming of the baboons, they can be pretty loud. Fortunately no one attact us. The next goal was to hike to the arch. Its looked as it would be close to were we where standing but actually it was one hour away. Well it was a great day. That realxing moment we had when we came back was also wonderful I must say. at dinner the kids of the owner came to join us for playing. The following day we went for another hike, not as hard as our previous one, but we saw a fiew things though. We went to a place were you could se buchman paintings. Then after that we went to a lagun were you could jump from 11 meters, I did not dare dooing it, to afraid of hights, but Fredrik did it. Back to the lodge we said goodbye, signed the cap that I borrowd, unfourtunatley we had no swedish flag with us. But we pointed out on the map were we lived and made mark there. It was a great trip. This was 2 month ago though...
